Congratulations Pete and Janelle

This colorful wedding was full of life!  The bouquets were an perfect compliment to the bridesmaids beautiful aubergine dresses.  Janelle's vision included a vibrant display of flowers with different textures.  She was instantly drawn to the purples in hydrangea next to vibrant pinks in wax flower and roses.  The flowers sang, and Janelle looked stunning!

Congratulations Patrick and Ebone

Patrick and Ebone's wedding (held at the Manor House in Mason) conveyed style and classic elegance.  The tropical touches of banana leaves lining the aisle and looped ti leaves in the bouquets nodded to the Haitian background of the groom.  Pale chocolate cymbidium orchids blended in beautifully with the hydrangea and soft pink vendella roses. Ebone's idea of a vibrant reception juxtaposed from the monochrome ceremony was a gorgeous display of her modern style, and will go down as one of my favorite weddings!

Congratulations Erin and Jason!

Erin and Jason had such an amazing wedding last October. The Belle Event Centre, where both the ceremony and reception were held, was transformed into a modern elegant purple celebration.  The candles and lighting created a dramatic backdrop for the bride and her flowers. All of Erin's planning and hard work paid off, as this is easily one of my favorites of the season! A special thank you to Amanda Donaho for capturing such fantastic photos.

Congratulations Michael and Holly

Michael and Holly's "old Hollywood" meets gangster themed wedding was a creative and elegant way to start their marriage.  Congratulations to the happy couple!

The mirror, crystals, and votives surrounding the grouping of red garden roses not only creates more color throughout the room, but an illusion of more flowers than were actually used.  This is a great way to save for bigger ticket items, as in the taller centerpieces including pricey feathers for a dramatic look.

Congratulations Jessica and DJ

Jessica and DJ were amazing clients to work with for their June wedding.  The classic modern take of flowers was created with daisies, mums, ranunculus, stock, and polo roses.  The colorful bouquets next to the turquoise dresses were a favorite of mine.   Best of luck to the happy couple!

Congratulations Zack and Kami

Congratulations Zack and Kami!  These close friends of ours exchanged vows this past September at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.  Their modern take on a classic black, white and red wedding was captured by using red anemones, roses, scabiosa, and the lucky bells of ireland.

A Daisy Sunday

A romantic, hazy summer afternoon with a sense of a classy backyard BBQ.  These are what an August bride wanted her guests to feel.

The wedding took place at the Pebble Creek Country Club in Colerain, Cincinnati, Ohio.  Navy Blue, Yellow and White to will morph into a soft "classy casual" wedding this August.  Side note: the couple are both recent engineering graduates.  Here is my take:

Garden Grey and Yellow Inspiration Board

Spring is in the air, and that means it's time for Daffodils!  I get so excited this time of year, even if my allergies don't agree.  While shopping for furniture pieces for my formal living room, I thought it would be fun to create an inspiration board.  Below is a few of my favorite Spring flowers, designers, and websites that helped me create this weeks Garden Grey and Daffodil Yellow inspiration board!
This wedding would be ideal for a trendy bride with a bright personality, looking for a modern take on a garden theme.  Below is a list of where I found my inspirations:

Spring Inspiration Board

And the Winner of last weeks inspiration board is:  None of them!  Huh?  Well, actually the all white board smashed the others out of the park.

However, the bride of this gorgeous wedding decided to make a few changes, and added some more color!  United with Love's feature of a rustic wedding took us back to the drawing board.  She used adjetives such as elegant, soft, and classic before finding the colorful wedding.  So, I came up with this inspiration board.  What do you think of the change?

Are there any brides out there struggling with their colors or flowers in season to use?  Send them my way and I will help them sift through all of their flower options.

Purple Inspiration Board

It seems the new pink this year is Purple! After speaking with numerous brides to be this year, the purple trend is popping up in every season.

Here is an inspiration board I created for a bride getting married this Fall.  We plan on using purple, wine, and red to create an elegant, classic look.  Choosing monochromatic green bouquets for the bridesmaids will help compliment the purple dresses and not get lost in the photos taken.

The bride who inspired this board has the gorgeous venue of Cincinnati's Bell Event Centre.   The grandiose columns and curved detailed ceiling adds elements of elegance and mystery that any bride would love!  I look forward to working with them.

Emerald wedding inspiration boards

Choosing colors and a theme for weddings can been mind boggling.  There are so many options not to mention confusing color names :)  By the time I meet brides, there is a 50-50 chance they know what they want for their flowers.

Below are a few color options based on a bridesmaids dress chosen by a bride.  The brides wedding is in June and wants a romantic feel for the wedding.    Which one do you like the best?
